The ÖBB 52.7064 is a steam locomotive that was built for the Austrian Federal Railways (Österreichische Bundesbahnen or ÖBB) during World War II. It is part of the German wartime class of locomotives known as the Kriegslokomotiven, which were designed for heavy freight duty during the war effort.
The ÖBB 52.7064 was built in 1944 by the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik and initially served in eastern Europe before being transferred to Austria in 1945. After the war, it continued to serve with the ÖBB until the 1970s, when it was retired and eventually sold to a private owner.
Today, the ÖBB 52.7064 is a preserved steam locomotive and can be seen operating on special excursion trains and museum railways in Austria and other parts of Europe. It is a popular attraction among railway enthusiasts and history buffs, as well as tourists looking for a unique way to explore the countryside.
